Jindal's address encourages graduates to stay in state -- 12:10 p.m.

Hundreds of students and their families and friends gathered in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Friday to honor the students graduating with bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.

Gov. Bobby Jindal was the keynote speaker and opted to give students advice rather than push a political agenda.

Rice gained a new bathroom wall this April, joining the boredat network with the creation of the boredatrice.net Web site. Boredatrice is one of dozens of anonymous collegiate posting sites, which include juicycampus.com, allowing students to post whatever they want under the protection of anonymity, with themes often trending towards the vulgar.

The University of Louisiana at Monroe invites everyone to attend its third annual signature event Wine Over Water Thursday, May 22 from 7 - 10 p.m. Guests may experience the tradition by strolling across the historic ULM Bridge spanning the scenic bayou beside the library while sampling wine and hors d'oeuvres from various local restaurants.
